Placemats Done

Hemmed yesterday and ready for the guild's show and tell today.

They're looking a little rumpled in the picture because I had them wrapped around a rectangular piece of Styrofoam for storage. Maybe I'll press them again and try wrapping them around a cardboard tube instead.

I don't know why I read your blog -it makes me feel as if I waste my life. What lovely creations! All I seem to do is teach people, mark their work and do things like washing the kitchen floor. Sigh. And I'm not even a granny - what a little sweetiepie!

Aww Isabelle, never underestimate the importance of teaching people, nor of doing the routine and mundane things in life.

A meaningful and well spent life is not found in having the perfect circumstances, but in finding joy in the little, every day things. Whatever you do, choose to do it to the best of your ability and with joy in your heart and you will not have wasted a moment.

Those are gorgeous!

And I'm afraid to ask...did the mail come yet? If not, let me know!

The placemats are lovely. And you made them so quickly! I have a suggestion for storage. Maybe get a very large padded envelope, stack them flat on a stiff piece of acid-free stock (maybe a piece of mat board?), and slide them into the envelope.

You just amaze me with the amount of beautiful stuff you create each week! These placemats are so lovely! :)

I knew that regular cardboard was not a solution for long term storage because it is not acid free and can damage textiles. Yesterday's storage solution was just to transport them to the guild's Show and Tell.

I LOVE your idea for longer term storage Paula. That should work very well. Thanks!

Really lovely! I just told my husband today, I'm hoping he will build me one of those nail triangle looms that you found me the directions for....in the spring? =) maybe?
